FISHING

Beaver Pond Sporting Club offers outstanding fishing right outside our front door.

If there’s such a thing as classic  southern fishing, this is it.  Anglers have ample opportunities to catch a wide variety of species from either boat or shore.  Spin-fishing, casting, and fly fishing techniques can be used to entice largemouth bass, sunfish, crappie and catfish to the net.  Whether you’re just learning or an experienced angler, our fishing ponds offer plenty of fish to challenge you.

Anadromous Striper Fishing Trip (Full Day, May)

A unique opportunity to catch stripers on their spawning run.  The Roanoke River near Weldon, NC produces bigger runs every year.  Clients will employ spinning, casting, or fly fishing techniques (dictated by conditions or client) from skiff to catch striped bass.  The smaller males tend to be aggressive throughout the day, but low light conditions are prime time for catching the larger females.  Call for additional details.

Tailwater Float Trip- AdVanced/Intermediate
