We are fortunate to have well-experienced and knowledgeable local guides available for your wingshooting excursions. Our guides take great pride in giving you proper direction and look forward to sharing their experiences with you.

Hiring a guide is a great way to enhance your experience.  You can expect professional instruction, good conversation, and knowledgable advice from any of our guides here at Beaver Pond.  With your guide taking care of dog handling, bird retrieval, and hunting locations, all that is left is your enjoyment.

Rates are: $75.00 - half day hunt
$140.00 - full day hunt

Wing & Fly Guide Service

Beaver Pond Sporting Club is proud to be affiliated with Wing & Fly and the exciting trips available through this unique partnership. Through a spiderweb network of destinations and professionals throughout the country, Wing & Fly is pleased to offer guide service to sporting locations locally and to places as far away as Alaska.  See our other trips on the FISHING page.  Also ask about our “Cast and Blast” specials in October and March.

North Carolina WINgshooting trips

Wild Carolina Quail (Full Day Only, Nov-Feb)
There are still a few places where good populations of wild birds can be found on both public and private lands.  If you’re one of those dedicated purists who wants to truly connect with his quarry, you’ll find it with this special offering.  A typical day is moderate to arduous and generally witnesses 4-5 covey rises followed by chasing singles if covey sizes warrant.  Details to be arranged with Guide.

Rate:  $375 for two hunters.  Please call in advance.

Mountain Grouse (Full Day, Nov-Feb))
A very specialized hunt for only true Grouse enthusiasts.  Grouse trips are arduous days, often times resulting in less than a half-dozen opportunities for a fleeting shot.  Locations highly variable.

Rate:  $300 for two hunters.  Scheduled two weeks in advance.

Plains/Midwest Upland Hunts

Michigan: UP Ruffed Grouse Hunt

(4 days/4 nights, Late October) Trip based out of Gwinn, MI and utilizes a combination of commercial timberland and National forest.  Though grouse numbers fluctuate each year, we have always found above average numbers here, with hunters having between 10-15 good opportunities per day.  On excellent days, we’ve put up nearly 30 grouse in front of the setters. 4 hunters maximum.

Rate: $1215-  Discount available to group booking all 4 slots

South Dakota:  Pheasant and Sharptail Grouse

(4 days/5 nights, late October)
Purely wild birds.  Lots of ‘em.  Sometimes the hunt goes so well, everyone limits out on roosters in the first couple of hours.  No worries about limiting out on sharpies though.  Though the hunts happen in a county that is ranked 3rd in grouse density, getting a shot at one takes a lot more than dumb luck. Trip is fully guided with accomodations and meals provided.  8 hunters maximum.
